Did you know that there are different grades in the quality of slush syrups? Like any other consumable, prices for slushie syrups can vary depending on the quality of ingredients used to create the finished product. The key ingredient and the most expensive is sugar. Sugar is at a 20 year high (like many other commodities) and this has tempted a few slush syrup manufacturers to reduce the amount of sugar in their processes. Sugar acts as the antifreeze so not having enough can cause the slush to over freeze around the freezing cylinder, putting pressure on the motor and in extreme cases damage the motor.

Another thing to look out for - does the slush syrup retain it's colour and flavour to the very last drop at the bottom of the slush cup? Slush syrups, sometimes referred to as 'Slush Puppie' or 'Slush Puppy' ('Slush Puppie' is a brand owned now by Cadburys) are still an inexpensive way to generate huge margins. Our slushie syrup costs around 6p for a 200ml slush drink portion (you can add on another 6p for the slush cup, strawspoon and VAT) and the average selling price is between 65p - 85p per drink of this size. Most sites selling slush make a profit margin of 75-80% per slushie drink.

Our slush syrup range includes flavours such as Blue Raspberry, Strawberry, Tropical, Lemon & Lime, Kola Kube, Orange & Mango, Pink Bubblegum, Pineapple, Sour Cherry and a Neutral Base so you can add your own bespoke flavourings. We have also introduced an Energy slush syrup (similar to Red Bull) as many wine bars, pubs and bars have introduced slush machines and make massive margins selling frozen alcoholic cocktails. Most are selling these drinks for over £5.00 per drink.
